William E. Goehringer Sr.'s Obituary
William Ernest Goehringer of Hurlock died at University Hospital in Baltimore on Monday, March 9, 2015. He was 85.
He was born January 28, 1930 in Easton, MD son of the late Ernest John Goehringer and Mattie Bryan Goehringer. His wife, Faith Saunders Goehringer preceded him in death on November 10, 2008. He was a life-long poultry and grain farmer in the Skinners Run area of Dorchester County. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston where he was a Sunday School teacher for many years and was a former member of the Elder Board. He is survived by a son William Ernest Goehringer, Jr. and his wife Mikki of Hurlock, a daughter, Cynthia M. Reynolds and her husband Neal of Annapolis, MD and a daughter, Darlene Goehringer and her husband Arthur Wilson of Hurlock, 4 grandchildren, Benjamin, Webb, Eliza and Rachel, 3 great-grandchildren, Austin, Oliver, and Caroline, 2 sisters, Esther Wilson of Indiana and Mattie Duffel of Salisbury, MD. He is also survived by his faithful companion, Myrna. Funeral services for him will be held at 2:00 p.m.on Friday, March 13,, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston, MD with Rev. Thomas Becker officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and also at the church on Friday from 1:00 – 2:00. The family has requested that donations be made in his memory to Immanuel Lutheran Church P. O. Box 39 Preston, MD 21655.
