Bill graduated from Garden City High School in 1972 and later graduated from St. Michael's
College in 1979 with a B.A. in Political Science. He was well known in both schools as a star
lacrosse goalie and his love of the sport he later passed down through coaching and mentoring new goalies. In 1974, he fulfilled his dream of joining the United States Marine Corps and was later medically retired in 1976 due to a spinal cord injury sustained while stationed in Quantico, Virginia. After his injury, Bill pushed himself to earn an M.B.A. from Adelphi University in 1981 and began a career as a healthcare executive in hospitals and nursing homes, where he climbed to the position of chief executive officer. In 2003, after completing a J.D. with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law, Bill successfully transitioned into a career in law.
At the time of his death, Bill was working as a founding member of the law firm, Hollis, Cronan & Fronk, P.A. In his free time over the years, Bill enjoyed spending time training his field dogs and later his daughter's, Spaniels. He also enjoyed reading about African wildlife and made fond memories of going on safari in Zimbabwe.
Some of the most obvious characteristics Bill will be remembered for are intelligence, kindness, generosity, honor, strength, and love. He will also be remembered for his quick wit and fun sense of humor; he was known to find humor and positivity in any situation.
