William Kinnamon's Obituary
William J. “Bill” Kinnamon of Seaford passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. He was 91.
He was born on March 1, 1916 in Eldorado, MD, the son of the late James and Olivia Holder. He was raised by the late Guy and Florence Kinnamon.
He served his country by serving in the United States Army and was a World War II Veteran. After the military, he became a tech operator at E.I. DuPonts in Seaford for thirty-three years and retired in 1978. He was a member of St. John’s United Methodist Church in Seaford. He was a member of the Federalsburg VFW Post #5246 and the American Legion in Hurlock. He loved sports and was a devoted Yankees Fan. He enjoyed working in his garden and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-five years, Arintha “Rinky” Watkins Kinnamon whom he married May 30, 1942, two sons, Ronald Guy Kinnamon and his wife, Mellie, and Gary John Kinnamon and his wife, Margaret all of Seaford, two grandchlldren, William Guy Kinnamon, and Renata Lynn Kinnamon both of Seaford, one great-granddaughter, Caitlin N. Cudworth of Seaford, a sister, Ruth Grove of Bridgeville, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Garland Holder, Webster Holder, Carl Holder, two sisters, Marge Kelly, and Esther Holly.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. Interment will follow at McKendree Cemetery near Rhodesdale, MD with military honors. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1 to 2 pm.
