William Henry Wright's Obituary
William Henry Wright of Federalsburg, Maryland passed away surrounded by his loving family following a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease on Monday, June 30, 2025. He was 80 years old.
Born May 4, 1945 at home in Federalsburg, Henry was the son of Walter Manship Wright and Edith Pauline (Purcell) Wright. He was educated locally and in high school ran track. Henry graduated from Colonel Richardson High School as part of the class of 1963. Four years later Henry wed the former Dianne Smith on June 3, 1967, and together they enjoyed 58 years of married life.
By trade Henry did auto-body painting on cars and trucks. He was a past member of Union United Methodist Church in Federalsburg. In his free time Henry enjoyed watching football and following NASCAR. He loved anything John Deere, collected model trains, and was a Ford Mustang aficionado. Despite Henry's struggle with Parkinson's he remained active and took great delight in participating in a program called "Rock Steady Boxing" held at the Easton YMCA.
Left to mourn Henry is his wife Dianne; his son William Wright, II; his grandchildren Christina Elsayed, Matthew Wright and Michelle Wright; his great-grandchild Nora Esayed; his brothers Mickey Wright and Phil Wright; his sisters Paulette Harding and Renee Smith; his sisters-in-law Janet Brace, Brenda French and Sandra Parks; his brother-in-law Jeff Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter and Edith.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Framptom Funeral Home by the Coales in Federalsburg starting at 2pm. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service. Burial will follow in the family lot at Junior Order Cemetery in Preston, Maryland.
