William "Billy" Ralph Coulbourne, Sr.'s Obituary
William “Billy” Ralph Coulbourne, Sr. of Hurlock, MD, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Perry Point Veterans Medical Center. He was 64 years old.
He was born on January 19, 1947 in Williamsburg, MD, son of the late Charles W. Coulbourne, Sr. and Esther Griffith Coulbourne.
He served his country in the United States Army in Korea during the Vietnam War.
He was a past member of the Hurlock American Legion Post 243 in Hurlock. He was a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting, playing softball, and was happiest when he was working.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Williamson Coulbourne, four children, William “Billy” R. Coulbourne, Jr. and his wife, Jane of Williamsburg, Daniel Lord and his wife, Alexandra of Laurel, DE, David Lord of Federalsburg, and Melissa J. Lord of Hurlock, nine grandchildren, two brothers, Charles W. Coulbourne, Jr. and his wife, Betty of Hurlock, and Robert J. Coulbourne and his wife, Sharon of Hurlock, two sisters, Betty Lee Williamson and her husband, George of Williamsburg, and Jeanette Blades and her husband, Roger of Parsonsburg, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Mark Coulbourne.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Framptom Funeral Home, PA, in Federalsburg at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Howard “Buddy” Dunn officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 243, PO Box 7, Hurlock, MD 21643 or to Perry Point VA Medical Center, Perry Point, MD 21902.
