William Norman Cephas' Obituary
William Norman Cephas of Federalsburg passed away at his home on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2009. He was 76 years old.
He was born June 20, 1933 in Cambridge, MD the son of the late Emerson Washington and Iola M. Cephas Cannon.
He was an US Army veteran serving from 1953 to 1955. He had worked for the local railroad, loved to fish, and enjoyed sharing tales of his life’s adventures.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Hattie Robinson Cephas, grandson Shawnie Dickerson of Smyrna, DE, 6 step-children, Frances Robinson, Darlene Wise, Margaret Evans, Charles Robinson, Russell Robinson, all of Federalsburg, and Ernestine Robinson of Seaford, DE, 10 step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, 3 siblings Shirley Gillis, Mary Dukes, and Emerson Jones, all of Seaford, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Juanita Goods.
Funeral services will be held on Thurs. Dec. 10, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home with Bishop Charles Cephas officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call a the funeral home on Wed. from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
