Dear Joe , I was so sorry to hear about Anne passing away. We shared many happy times together, as friends at Washington Grade School & Bosse High School. Joe, I'm so sorry. I enjoyed getting acquainted with you and Anne at her mom's, my Aunt Dorthea, 100 birthday celebration. It was the first time I had met Anne as an adult. As children, our families would get together in Gladstone and Petosky, Michigan when we were children, so Anne and I were playmates as children, going to the beach or staying at Great Aunt Ruth's camp. Being with Ann and other cousins was always fun. We could run a bit wild while the adults were busy talking to each other.
Losing a lifelong partner is tough.

My memories of Anne began many years ago when my friend, Sharon, and I went to visit and Sharon was so impressed with Anne’s beauty and pose that she told everyone that Anne was a former Miss Michigan. Joe, I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my husband a few days after you lost Anne. We share our losses.
Anne was a wonderful member of our small but close community in Portal, AZ where she and Joe shared many occasions with friends in the AZ Sky Village. Her dry sense of humor made us all laugh at every occasion, and her party playfulness lightened our spirits. We will all miss you, Anne, and we thank you for sharing the "Astronomy" part of your life with us. Rest in peace.
