Ben Harrison Marshall's Obituary
Ben Harrison Marshall Newcomb, Ben Harrison of Newcomb, died at his home on Friday, August 12, 2016. He was 40. Born in Easton on March 1, 1976 he was the son of Capt. Robert “Bobby†Marshall of McDaniel and Sue Marshall of Newcomb. Ben attended St. Michaels High School. Ben was a life-long commercial waterman and a true eastern-shoreman who loved the water, whether he was working or just spending time enjoying nature. He spent many hours looking for arrowheads, and other artifacts. He loved to read about local history, and sharing his knowledge with others. He had a wonderful sense of humor and had his Grandfather Marshall’s ability to tell a story. In addition to his parents, Ben is survived a sister; Samantha Marshall of McDaniel. His Maternal Grandparents; Chuck and Martha Stoner of Newcomb, his aunt and uncle Bonnie and Gene Messick of St. Michaels, aunt Kate Marshall of Colorado, and many Great Aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Ben was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Marion C. “Junie†and Roberta “Bobbie†Harrison Marshall. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 7:00 PM at the Ostrowski Funeral Home P.A., St. Michaels, with Pastor Chris Pettit of the Royal Oak Community U.M.C. officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in Ben’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
