Charles Nicholas Kirsch's Obituary
Charles “Chuck” Nicholas Kirsch passed away on September 28, 2016 at Talbot Hospice House in Easton. He was 84.
He was born on July 2, 1932 in Ridgely, Maryland, the son of the late Victor Fred Kirsch and Mary Emily “Emma” Bradburn Kirsch. Chuck graduated from Ridgely High School in 1951. He served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1955 as a Staff Sergeant and continued his service with the Air Force Reserves . He worked for 34 years at E. I. DuPont & Co. in Seaford as an Instrument Mechanic and retired in 1985. Chuck also worked part time for twenty years at Preston Ford Automotive Group. He was a member of Harrington Moose Lodge #534, the Hurlock American Legion Post 243, the former Caroline Country Club and a lifetime member of the Easton Elks #1622, and a former member of the Preston V.F.C. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Chuck enjoyed playing many sports during high school and especially enjoyed bowling and golf through out his adult life.
He also enjoyed traveling and dancing.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan Engerman Kirsch, his daughter, Karen Kirsch Van Offeren and her husband, Jan, and a grandson, Larsen Kirsch Van Offeren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Victor Kirsch and a sister who died in infancy. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Pastor Keith Colona officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 at the funeral home.
