Charles Wayne Sutphin's Obituary
Charles Wayne Sutphin of Wittman passed peacefully away at the Talbot Hospice House , in Easton, MD with his loving family by his side on Monday, November 18, 2024. He was 84.
Mr. Sutphin, or Wayne as he was known by all was born on October 18, 1940 in Pulaski Co. Virginia the son of the late Joseph Cleveland Sutphin and Matilda Mae Kemp Sutphin. On November 12, 1959 he married Matilda Jane Knox who was the love of his life. They made their home in Wittman, MD. Wayne started working at the age of 14. He worked at various jobs for many years until he started his own contracting company to support his family. His wife and children were the most important things to him. His strong values on the importance of family will remain in our hearts forever.
Mr. Sutphin is survived by his six children; Phyllis Albright (Jay) Daniel Sutphin (Lori) Greg Sutphin, Wayne Sutphin Jr. (Mary), Terri Sutphin and Shawn Sutphin. 10 Grandchildren; Ashley Bullers, Aron Albright, Virginia Richardson, Daniel Sutphin, Rachel Whitehead, Amanda Sutphin, Hannah Sutphin, Kayla Kearns, Tanner Kearns and Lorna Cole, also 8 Great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and all of his siblings his was preceded in death by his beloved wife Jane of 64 years who passed on July 31st of this year.
A viewing will be held on Monday November 25, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00PM at the Framptom Funeral Home-Ostrowski Chapel in St. Michaels.
