Charles L. Williams' Obituary
Charles L. Williams of Federalsburg, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2009 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. He was 78.
He was born on May 11, 1931 in Queen Anne, MD the son of the late Marvel Williams and Katherine Theresa Byer Williams. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lee D’Armi Williams on May 30, 2001.
He graduated from Woodbridge High School class of 1949. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Navy from 1950 to 1953 achieving the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class. He was a former owner of Williams Refrigerated Express and Southern Cold Storage. He was a member of the Federalsburg VFW Post 5246. He was also a former member of Standardbred Horsemans Association.
Charles is survived by two children, Theresa W. Trader and her husband Bruce W. Trader of Bridgeville, DE, and Timothy C. Williams of Federalsburg, a granddaughter, Becky Sue Trader of Bridgeville, who was the apple of his eye, a sister, Katherine Love of Milford, DE, two nieces, Kelli D’Armi and Brenda Marquess, one nephew Mickey D’Armi, and special friends, John and Kim Hicks and family
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Denzil Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at the Maryland Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. in which a Memorial VFW Service will be held at 7:00 p.m.
