Donald George Ruths Sr.'s Obituary
Donald George Ruths, Sr. of Federalsburg passed away on Sat. Feb. 1, 2014 at Envoy of Denton. He was 86.
He was born Aug. 22, 1927 in Pasadena, MD, the son of the late Ernest G. and Irene Lithicum Ruths.
He served his country in the U.S. Army earning the WW II Victory Medal. He was as an exterminator. He also worked as a caretaker. He was a lifetime member of the Lakeshore Fire Department in Pasadena.
He is survived by two children Donald G. Ruths, Jr. (Annette) and Denise P. Smith (Kevin), both of Federalsburg, five grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Stacey Smith, Stephanie Ruths, Sabrina Ruths, and Donald Joseph Ruths, a sister Una Koon of PA, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Ernest Ruths and Carol Ruths, and a sister Anna Ruths.
A memorial service with military honors will be held Friday, February 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Beulah. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Framptom Funeral Home.
