Doris,
I have only known you a short time, but the memories are fond and vast. You were the first person in Lil Mike’s family that I was introduced to, and I was immediately put at ease, and greeted with a warm reception. Your loquacious talent in conversation, making us laugh, and of course good ol gossiping was engaging. How you never ceased to amazed me with your insight to all the 411 of what was going on around town(I am sure the scanner helped) but if we wanted to know something, Lil Mike would always say, “just call Mommom she will know” so sure enough he would call you up, and then you two would be on the phone for hours and hours talking up a storm and getting caught up.
With so many memories in the running, the one that comes to the forefront is your formidable essence and aptness in the kitchen. Doris Please know that I will cherish and hold dear to my heart your banana bread recipe. You found out that I ranted and raved about your bread, so I will never forget the day you had me come over, to teach me how you accomplished masterpiece. There we stood, in the middle of your kitchen, wearing our aprons while laughing and joking as you instructed , and supervised step by step ensuring that I didn’t miss anything, or burn your kitchen down. You were an artist when it came to food, with the kitchen as your canvas, and that black skillet as your brush. You are responsible for my newly discovered palate, and not to mention my new waist size (bigger not smaller) I will miss you very much, Love ya Maestro Ozuna##imported-begin##Maestro Ozuna##imported-end##
