Libby was a "best friend" to all that knew her. I met her when she come to work at the Post Office in Salisbury. How she brighten up the drab hum-drum of sorting mail (flats). She also brighten up our appetites with her delicious homemade goodies.
I then met her again, since my wife's sister-in-law (Emily) was a friend (almost like sister) to Libby. I saw her on Sunday 19th at Johnson Reunion at Emily. She gave my wife and I a small token of friendship and love. Stamps from her beloved Postal Career. She was a sweet lady, so kind and caring for everyone. We will miss her.

Our sincere sympathy on your loss. I think Aunt Liz, was the postal service's best customer as she never forgot someone's birthday or to pass along how she and the rest of the family were doing, or catching up on news. I know how blessed she was to have you all, visiting and checking up on her. Your love and care meant more to her than words can say. I know that she will keep my mom Ruth Hoffman McQuay in laughter with her stories and wit, when they meet in heaven. I fondly remember visiting her over the years and the rest of the family especially when I was a young lad. Peck, feeding the chickens and pumping water for the "Bull", along with Aunt Annie's sugar cookies topped off a visit. Aunt Liz was full of wit then, maturing it to an art later in life. Please know that our prayers and thoughts are with you and your families.

. I worked with Miss Libby at the Salisbury Post Office in the late 80s at night. I can still see her at the end of the belt culling the mail! I just thought of her the other day- please know my prayers and thoughts are with the family.

Paula, Chips, and Debbie,
Sorry to hear Aunt Liz passed. I will miss her Sunday phone calls and her letters.
She was blessed to have such caring family and friends. I liked that she was such a strong willed person and would say what was on her mind. She would always get a laugh out of me & then say "You laugh just like your mother". (Ruth E. Hoffman McQuay).
She was getting out of that hospital one way or another. LOL
