Elizabeth Anna Marine's Obituary
Elizabeth Anna Nagel Marine, known fondly as “Libby” passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital. She was 90.
She was born at American Corner on March 22, 1925, the daughter of the late Rudolph Nagel and Anna Seiter Nagel. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer “Peck” Marine, Jr. on December 26, 2004.
Libby began her working career at the former Excelsior Pearl Works and then becoming Maryland Plastics in Federalsburg. She worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service and retired after 20 years of service.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston and the Dorchester Homemakers Club. She loved to cook and bake and was excellent at both. She will always be remembered of being a generous and big hearted person who never met a stranger.
She leaves to cherish her memories, a sister, Mildred “Chips” Irwin of Seaford, 17 nieces and nephews, and a host of great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven siblings, Elsie Brubaker, Bill Nagel, Dick Nagel, Rudy Nagel, Elmer Nagel, Ruth McKim, and Fred Nagel.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 11 am. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Rev. Thomas Becker officiating. Private interment will be at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery.
