Elizabeth Ann Watson's Obituary
Elizabeth Ann Watson (Mimi) of St. Michaels passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, February 15, 2024. She was 79 years old.
Born in Baltimore Md. on February 27, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Louis C. and Iona Burrows Murray. Ann grew up in St. Michaels, MD. and after her education she married Ronald F. Watson on December 29, 1962 at St. Luke's Methodist Church in St. Michaels. They also made their home in St. Michaels and that is where they raised their two children Jennifer and Michael. Ron sadly passed in 2021.
Ann was known for her keen intellect and knowledge of all things trivia. She was an avid reader and had a private library full of books ranging from history to the classics. She put her love of reading to use as part of her first career proof reading medical texts for Waverly Press. Later, she went on to work in the accounting department at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, a job she thoroughly enjoyed. She was a fan of classic movies, served with the St. Michaels Women's Club for many years, and as a young person was a member of St. Luke's Methodist Church. Above all else, Ann enjoyed spending time with her late husband, her children, and her five grandchildren.
Left to mourn Ann are her daughter Jennifer Pritchett (Albert) of Easton; her son Michael Watson of Denver Co.; her grandchildren Austin Pritchett, Shaw Pritchett,
Claire Pritchett Hutchison (Jake), Finnley Pritchett, and Kaya Watson; and her brother Robert Murray as well as extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at St. Luke's Church in St. Michaels on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11 am. Burial will follow in Olivet Cemetery behind the church. A visitation will be held the night before from 6 pm until 8pm at Framptom Funeral Home - Ostrowski Chapel, Saint Michaels and one hour prior to the service at church on Friday.
