Frances Garey Wood's Obituary
Frances Garey Wood of St Michaels died at Easton Memorial Hospital on Friday, August 1,2014. She was born in Punxsutawney, PA the daughter of Carlo and Jennie Caligure. The family moved to Washington, DC while she was a child and it was there that she received her education. She graduated from Strayer College in Washington. While working with the Federal Government Court System in Washington, she met and married Edward S Garey of Preston, MD. After retirement she and Mr Garey traveled extensively in Europe, Asia and Australia. Mr Garey died in 1984 and she later married Robert Morse Wood of Greenwich, CT. They have resided in St Michaels.
In addition to her husband she is survived by three step-children, six step-grandchildren and 4 step-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday August 9, 2014 at St. Michaels Mission Church with Monsignor Donald Essex officiating. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Federalsburg, MD. The family has requested that donations be made in her memory to St. Michaels Mission Church 109 Lincoln Avenue, St Michaels, MD 21663.
