To George's family, I knew George through FHS and I believe we are somehow related. Randy and I were also very close friends and worked together at AT&T. The last time I saw George was at the 1952 FHS football reunion last year. We had a chance to talk about "ole" times. He told me about his interest in the Indian history of Frederick County which I found facinating. He was such a wonderful man and friend. I hope your memories of him will help sustain you all during this difficult time.
Lucretia, We are so sorry to hear that George lost his battle with cancer. We are thinking about you and know it is a sad time for you and your family. Although I did not know him well, I do remember fondly going over to your house once and he showed me his wonderful garden! I was envious of his talents! Margaret and George McHenry
Words will never be enough to express my love for G. He was the most brilliant person I ever knew and I love him dearly. The world has lost a brilliant mind and we have lost a loving, caring and sensitive man who loved you Lu in such a special way. You, Brad and the rest of the family are in our prayers.
Lu, I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. I have many good memories of our time together both at work and at social occasions. He will always be one of those special persons who came into my life. I know you will miss him.
Dear Lu and Brad and Family:I was so saddened to hear the news of George's Passing. I have many fond memories of our time at Horn Point and on the Choptank and Tred Avon Rivers. George taught me how to eat Crabs properly by dissecting them. I still do it the way he taught me with every cut. Those were special times with many special people. George made a difference on the bay and we all can thank him for his love and dedication to it.Donna & Roger West

Lu:Dr. George was my first boss at the Oxford Labs in my field of study and taught me so much about labs, science and laughter too. I am sorry for your loss and hope you have good memories. I know that I do. God bless you and the family.Karol Burtman Redline
