I first heard of Gladys when my grandmother babysat for her first child. Later, I met her cousin, Charles Woodward, and married him. She was on duty at the hospital when my last son was born. We will always remember Aunt Gladys as a very warm, good-hearted lady. She always had a sweet smile on her face. Mom always thought highly of her. Our deepest sympathies go to all her family.

To the Messick Family, While thumbing through my FB, I came across the Obituary about Gladys. I was saddened to learn of her death. I feel that each one of Mrs. Messick's children has touch me in some way, some of you more than others. Gladys was nursing at Memorial Hospital when all three of my children were born, although I did not know her all that well at the time. Please know that I extend my deepest sympathy to each of you and I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
