Harry Sager Webb, Jr.'s Obituary
Harry Sager Webb, Jr. of Federalsburg passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at his home. He was 75.
He was born in Cape May County, New Jersey on June 25, 1947 the son of the late Harry S. Webb Sr. and Ruth Taylor Webb.
He graduated from Ocean City, NJ High School. He later graduated from Washington College.
He was married to Mary Doddo and they made their home in Federalsburg.
He started his life-long teaching career at Federalsburg Elementary School. Later he was a math specialist at Greensboro Elementary and later at Colonel Richardson Middle School. During his tenure, he coached many sports including youth football, baseball and soccer. He continued coaching soccer and softball at the high school level.
In his free time, he loved golfing with his buddies, solving the New York Times crossword puzzle, and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams. His quick wit and love of puns and Dad jokes endeared him to his family.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Mary Webb of Federalsburg, four children: Brendan Webb and his wife Jennifer of Hurlock, Eric Webb and his wife Allyson of Preston, David Webb of Gaithersburg, and Taylor Morton and her husband Bill of Federalsburg; seven grandchildren: Noah Webb, Maleaha Webb, Haylyn Webb, Brooklynn Webb, Hazel Webb, Crosby Webb and Webb Morton; two sisters: Dele Fadden of Olympia, WA and Bertha Aspenberg of Denton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister Sally Thornton.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on June 10 at the Federalsburg Firehouse.
