James Hunter Behrendt's Obituary
James “Jim” Hunter Behrendt of Preston passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at his home. He was 77.
He was born on April 6, 1938 in Charleroi, PA the son of the late Carl Behrendt and Ann Bennett Behrendt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Grace Peregoy Behrendt on June 10, 2014.
Jim worked as an aircraft mechanic for Eastern Airlines and United Airlines. He enjoyed motorcycles, water and snow skiing, boating, scuba diving, hunting, crabbing and traveling. Jim was a smart man, who was always willing to help others.
Jim is survived by 3 daughters, Barbara Behrendt of Linthicum, MD, Tracy Cohee and Danielle Youells, both of Preston, 6 grandchildren, Taylor Behrendt, Matthew Ragan, Dillon Cohee, Alaina Plugge, Camryn Plugge and Brodey Christopher, 1 great-grandchild, Rowan Ragan, a sister, Lorraine Jesick of CT, and 2 nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg. A private interment will take place at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery near Hurlock.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Caroline County Humane Society, 407 West Bell Street, Ridgely, MD 21660.
