When my son was in the Navy in the late 90's, digital cameras were still a dream. Rob would send home rolls of 35 mm film, which I would take to Cantner's. When the photos would come back, Mr. Jim and I would play "Where in the world is Rob Whitby." Miss June, Paula, Lisa and Jimmy, please accept my deepest sympathies. Dianna Durham Whitby

Heartfelt Hugs and prayers of comfort to Ms. June, Lisa, and all Family. Mr. Jimmy was a man of honorable integrity. He was kind, thoughtful and he had a wonderful sense of humor. Working for him at Cantner's was one of my very first jobs. The portrait that he painted of me is still hanging in my mom's dining room. I'm so glad I was able to attend the Cantner's History presentation & celebration at the Federalsburg Historical Museum back in May. It was a very special tribute to a truly special person.

Bill Smith (RIP) and I were hired in 1955 as his first stock boys when he took over Cantner’s Drug Store from his father.

Jim was an outstanding man and he gave so much of himself to so many. I count knowing him as one of my blessings. We all know it's going to happen but when certain people pass, it's such a shock. I am so sad for June, Lisa, and all of the Truitt family. Love you Jim, you left your mark.
