James "Jed" Davis' Obituary
James E. “Jed” Davis of Glen Burnie, MD passed away on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008 at Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, MD. He was 45 years old.
He was born Nov. 22, 1963 in Cheverly, MD, the son of Harry Evans Davis of Denton, MD, and the late Mary E. Wood Davis who preceded him in death on Oct. 16, 2000.
He was a graduate of Old Mill High School in Millersville, MD and had worked for the past 19 years as meat manager for Giant Foods. He served as instructor at Apolo’s Karate in Glen Bernie, achieved level of black belt and enjoyed traveling to the Philippines for training and demonstrations in karate. He loved playing soft ball with the Arden Contracting team and enjoyed fishing.
Besides his father, Harry Davis he is survived by his step mother, Janice Davis, 3 brothers, Rick Davis of Crownsville, MD, Dale Davis and his wife, Robyn, of Linthicum, MD and Scott Davis of Alexandria, VA. 4 nephews and 1 niece, Josh, Christian, Jake, Kalyn, and Jordan; a step brother David “DJ” Banta of Felton, DE and step sister Gina King of Baltimore, MD.
Funeral services will be held on Wed. Dec. 10, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, MD with Rev. Carol Price officiating. Interment will follow in Bloomery Cemetery near Smithville, MD. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m.
