Barry Brown
Jose was a dear friend and a martial arts colleague. We competed against each other in a tournament as total strangers and after the match became friends. Over the years that friendship grew stronger and I found him to be a truly great guy and a wonderful person. I had recently invited him to sit on the board for my karate school's next black belt exam which he had done several times previously. I was shocked to hear of his passing.
He will be sorely missed.
