My dear “Miss Judy,” the things that come to mind when I think of you are Kindness, compassion, hard work, dedicated service, good fun, good humor, and of course, good food. I met you when I was in ninth grade, and you immediately welcomed Jack’s friends into your home. In no time, it became the place for us to hang out, to make dinners, and to have Spanish Club events. You and Bill also became dear friends of my parents, and we spent many special times together.
I recently recalled the night I stopped at your house well after midnight. I was on my way home from work and couldn’t get there because it was “raining frogs” and I didn’t want to run over them. You didn’t laugh at me and you weren’t even mad that I woke up your whole house. You just told me to call my Mom and you got me a blanket and pillow. You may not have known it but you taught me a lot about how to be a “Boy Mom,” and I have leaned on your example many times. In recent years, we have stayed in touch mainly through social media, sharing private jokes, memories of happy times, and happy and sad milestones. I will miss that.
Your influence on the lives you touched was quiet, but enormously impactful. Your passing has motivated me to do a better job of staying in touch with the people who are important in my life, including your children Thank you for everything, “Miss Judy.” I love you.
Kathy
Dear Judy, I will never forget the special person you were to me and so many others. You helped me when I first started serving Union as your pastor. You wore a smile on your face in the morning and your wisdom left a real impact on me and continues to do so today. I will miss you, but I have no doubt you are celebrating with the Lord now as He said to you "Well done, good and faithful servant, enter into your the joy of the Lord"

Judy sure did love her church "family!" She will be missed.
