Kenneth Lee Hurlock, Sr. of Hurlock passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025 at his home. He was 82.
He was born on August 26, 1942 in Federalsburg, Maryland, the son of the late Dewey Hurlock and Margaret Cooper Hurlock.
He was married on February 2, 1963 to Beverly Ann (Wright) Hurlock. She preceded him in death on January 29, 2021.
As a dedicated plumber, Kenneth believed in the value of hard work and personal connections, forging many cherished friendships with his customers over the years. His commitment to his craft was matched only by his dedication to his community. A proud member of the Hurlock American Legion Post #243 and the Hurlock Lions Club, he was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand and his passion for supporting local initiatives.
Kenneth's hobbies brought him immense joy. He could often be found enjoying a game of golf, crabbing on the river, or nurturing his beloved garden and tomato plants. However, his true delight came from spending time with his family, especially his son, Kenneth Hurlock, Jr., and his grandchildren. Family was at the center of his world, and he treasured each moment shared with them.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Hurlock, Jr and his wife Lisa of Rhodesdale; two grandchildren: Kenneth Hurlock, III and his wife Bethany and Cory Hurlock and his girl friend Shiloh; two great grandchildren: Mason Hurlock and Abigail Hurlock; two brothers Fred Hurlock and his wife Joan of Seaford and Ted Wright and his wife Franny and several very close nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings: Ruth, Marjorie, Jeanette, George and Irene.
A graveside committal service will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 11:00 at Unity-Washington Cemetery in Hurlock. Pastor Marie Coulbourne will officiate. The family will host a celebration of life service at 12:00 at the Hurlock American Legion. All are invited to attend.
