The past few months have been difficult for some of my LEO Brothers and Sisters.
Yesterday I was honored to attend with friends, a LEO brothers funeral.
A young life, that's light was extinguished to soon from demons he couldn't shake. PTSD.....
There was a sea of uniformed men and women, EMS, Fire, Military, Corrections, and Police, grieving with family and friends.

"During the grieving process, there will always be what ifs. What if I did this differently? What if we had more time? What if this didn’t happen? But like the moon so far away, untouchable, we lack the power to rewrite our stories. We only hold the possibility to grow from them.
In this respect, you can then rephrase the “what ifs” into what can I take from this person I lost, or this story I lived, that will better myself and help those around me."

Lucas...RIP...even though we never met, I heard your message. And I will carry it with me.💙💚

Lucas was an amazing, hardworking, prideful, respectful, funny, selfless, humble, and caring young man.
I met Lucas while he was in the Army with my Ex-husband. Lucas never shied away from opening his arms or his heart to new people. From the moment I met him he made me feel like family.
The bond that Lucas had with his fellow soldiers was truly indescribable. Everyone loved him and respect him. He was the definition of what a “leader” should be. It was an honor and a privilege to have known him.
Lucas, I hope you have found the peace and the comfort you were searching for. We are all going to miss you and just know you were and will continue to be well loved.
We will always have your six!
Lucas’s family,
Words can not describe how sorry I am for your loss. You should be extremely proud of the man that Lucas was and the legacy that will follow him forever. I wish all of his loved ones comfort and peace during this difficult time. You’re in my heart, thoughts, and prayers.
