When I was a foreign exchange student back in 1979 in the Fritz family, Mrs. Fritz was like a mother to me. When I visited the Fritz family later with my wife Sabine and my sons Philipp and Tobias, she welcomed us in her home. Her kindness and her warmth were so overwhelming, that Tobias still remembers this time also he was only 4 years old. Philipp decided at the age of 6, that he would like to become an exchange student in the USA himself – which he was in 2009. Even though I only spent 8 weeks of my life with the Fritz family, they always had and will always have a special place in my heart.
When I heard, that Mrs. Fritz passed away, I was very sad. It´s hard to believe, that I´ll never have the chance to thank her again for everything she has done for me. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and especially her husband. I know, how hard this must be for You, Mr. Fritz.
