Martha Fritz's Obituary
Martha Fritz passed away on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at Palm City Nursing & Rehabilitation in Palm City, FL. She was 74.
She was born in Federalsburg, Maryland on February 22, 1937, the daughter of the late Charles Hastings and Helen Martin Gray.
She graduated from Bridgeville High School. She was a sales person for Peppermint Zoo. She was a member of Westchester NY Club.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Charles J. Fritz, Jr., four children, Cindy L. Chipman of Okeechobee, FL, Charles J. Fritz, III of New York, New York, Teresa L. Glasheen of Thornwood, NY, Kenneth M. Fritz and his wife Debbie of Ossining, NY. A devoted grandmother of six grandchildren, Alyssa Fritz, Madeline Fritz, Kenneth Fritz, Jr., Regina Fritz, Peter Glasheen, Christopher Glasheen, four sisters, Shirley Bassett of East New Market, MD, Geraldine Rose and Eleanor Rose both of Bridgeville, DE, Brenda Morris of Milton, DE, three brothers, Charles “Sonny” Hastings, Jr. of Lewes, DE, Wayne Hastings of Baltimore, MD, and Donald Gray of Federalsburg, MD, and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Fenior and Carol “Susie” Gray.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 6, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with the Reverend Denzil T. Cheek officiating. Interment will follow in Bridgeville Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 and one hour prior to the service on Monday.
