Marvin Lee Wheeler, 86, of Federalsburg, MD passed away peacefully at his home on June 14, 2023 surrounded by his daughters. Born March 27, 1937 in Severn, MD, he was the son of the late Edgar and Mattie Hammond Wheeler. Through Read Obituary
There will never be a day that goes by that I will not think of him. Being his first grandchild and his only granddaughter- we had a special bond. I am heartbroken but I am grateful that he is no longer in pain. Rest in peace Pop. I will love you forever.
I wish everyone could’ve seen how happy he was over this last year. He was such a stoic, mule headed trooper! Pretty sure he passed that down to some of us. We’re forever “his girls.”

I remember an occasion when Marvin and I took 4 of my neighbor ladies to the Maryland Live Casino for free slot play and lunch and how all the ladies commented on how gracious and genteel Marvin was to be with.

First day I met Mr. Wheeler, beautiful smile, so quite and I wanted to say "you have great daughters (who's personality to they have)?" They express themselves so loudly and to the point" that Mr. Wheeler I would not want to have to meet either one after school to settle the matter". But after meeting each one, they are gems. And, how they loved their Dad. Girls we know he is in heaven fussing with every horse he lost money on, but still continued to bet on him/her each week because he just knew he/she would cross that finish first.
