Marvin Lee Wheeler's Obituary
Marvin Lee Wheeler, 86, of Federalsburg, MD passed away peacefully at his home on June 14, 2023 surrounded by his daughters.
Born March 27, 1937 in Severn, MD, he was the son of the late Edgar and Mattie Hammond Wheeler.
Throughout his life, Marvin enjoyed hunting, fishing, horse racing and playing cards.
After serving in the United States Army, Marvin worked at the Carling Brewery in Baltimore where he was a machinist until his retirement. Later in life, after losing his wife Janet, he relocated from Pasadena to Federalsburg.
Marvin is survived by his daughters: Dana Shade (Dave) of Salisbury, Donna Arbogast (Rodney) of Federalsburg, and Erin Schaeffer (Kurt) of Knoxville; his step-children: Betty Richards of Federalsburg, Allen Mansfield (Carol) of Delmar, Toby Mansfield (Mickey) of Federalsburg, Joanie Miller (Dale) of Hurlock, and Patty Stadden of Federalsburg . He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ashley Harwood (Dave), Bradley Schaeffer (Rachel), Brandon Arbogast (Jenna), Christopher Shade (Carrie), and Zachary Schaeffer (Jane); his great grandchildren: Alayna Robertson, Ethan Harwood, Joanna Schaeffer, Quinn Schaeffer, Mason Arbogast, Hannah Mae Shade and Brynn Arbogast. Marvin is also survived by his 2 sisters, Gloria Griebel and Betty Swann.
In addition to his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet Wheeler, step-daughter Clara Saunders, and seven siblings.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg at 12:00PM. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 27th at the funeral home, from 5:00-8:00PM, and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow the service at the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock.
