Mary Ellen Currey's Obituary
Mary Ellen Currey, of Federalsburg, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. She was 91.
She was born on November 27, 1923 in Federalsburg and was a daughter of the late Percy Nichols and Cora Cook Nichols. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar C. Currey, Jr., who passed away on June 4, 1981.
Mary Ellen enjoyed watching John Hagee, RFD and listening to Gospel Music. She also had a passion for gardening. She worked for Maryland Plastics in Federalsburg for over 50 years.
Mrs. Currey is survived by her daughter Diane Fisher and her husband Robert Allan Fisher, Sr., three grandchildren, Ronnie Fisher and his wife Donna, Robert Allan Fisher, Jr. and his wife Denise, and Kathy Collins and her husband, Gary, four great-grandchildren, Robert Allan Fisher, III, Meredith Grace Fisher, Kristen Collins, and Morgan Collins, a sister, Norma Lee Mills, three nieces, Linda Haley and her husband Lawrence, Joyce Willoughby, and Sandra Perry, two nephews, Billy Mills and his wife Tammy, and Bill Sommers and his wife Shirley, and a host of other family members.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg with Reverend Dan Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Hill Crest Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m.
