Michael Paul Blanchfield's Obituary
Michael Paul Blanchfield of Preston passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Talbot Hospice House. He was 56.
He was born on June 27, 1957 in Easton, Maryland, the son of the late Hughey Blanchfield and Elsie Loller Blanchfield.
He was a graduate of Queen Anne High School class of 1974. He served his country by enlisting in the United States Army. He was a member of the V.F. W. Post 5246 in Federalsburg and the American Legion #243 in Hurlock. He was a member of the Umpire Association and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and umpiring.
Michael is survived by two daughters, Stacy Blanchfield of Goldsboro, Keri Blanchfield Thomas (Wade) of Federalsburg, a step-son, Kenny Boone (Mila) of California, his significant other, Donna Elliott of Preston, his estranged wife, Jeannette Sard Blanchfield of Federalsburg, six siblings, Henrietta Knotts of Delmar, DE, Alan Blanchfield of Harmony, Danny Blanchfield of Virgina, Billy Blanchfield (Connie) of Federalsburg, Ruby RaJahal (John) of Crumpton, Patty Lewis (Allen) of Cambridge, nine grandchildren, Kelsey Walls, Christopher Wahl, J.B. Brown, Will Thomas, Brennan Thomas, Bradley Thomas, Brooke Boone, Trevor Boone, Reese Boone; his best friend, Mike Wright of Federalsburg, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Blanchfield and a sister, Shirley Blanchfield-Murray.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Framptom Funeral Home in Federalsburg, with the Rev. Howard Dunn and David Dunn officiating, Friends may call on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and from 10-11a.m. on Saturday. Interment will be private.
