Peter Van de Visser's Obituary
Peter Van de Visser, 95, of Preston passed away at William Hill Manor in Easton, MD on Tuesday, May 6, 2008.
He was born in Lodi, New Jersey on May 30, 1912, the son of the late William Van de Visser and Lena De Wilde Van de Visser. His wife, Bessie Watkins Van de Visser preceded him in death on April 22, 1982. He worked for 43 years for the Maryland State Highway Administration retiring in 1979 as the Residence Maintenance Engineer for Talbot County. He was a member of Bethesda United Methodist Church in Preston and was also a member of Nanticoke Lodge # 172 A F & A M for over 50 years. He is survived by a son, Robert S. Van de Visser of Denton and a daughter, Sharon V. Lee of Preston, MD, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. A son, Larry W. Van de Visser in 2006 and a daughter, Patricia V. Walston in 2007 preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 2:00p.m. at the Bethesda United Methodist Church in Preston with the Rev. Joan Wolff officiating. Interment will follow at Junior Order Cemetery. Friends may visit the church from 1-2p.m.
