Sallie H. Helm's Obituary
Sallie H. Helm Easton, Sallie Harper Helm of Easton, died at the Talbot Hospice House on, Sunday August 7, 2016. She was 85. Born on August 7, 1931 in Crowville, LA. She was the daughter of the late Henry Alton and Ermanie Thornhill Harper. Educated first in Louisiana’s Northwestern State Colle, and Louisiana State University. After a 20 year career as a teacher and librarian in schools and universities and public libraries, she went to law school at Georgetown University Law School in Washington D.C. She then practiced Law in Washington for another 20 years, in the office of the United States Attorney for the District of Columbia, and at Dickstein Shapiro LLP also in Washington. After retirement she and her husband Ernest Eugene Helm moved to St. Michaels, then finally to Easton. Mr. Helm died in October 2015. Mrs. Helm has no immediate survivors. Services will be private. Donations in her memory may be made to Talbot Hospice Foundation, 586 Cynwood Drive, Easton, MD. 21601. Arrangements are by the Ostrowski Funeral Home P.A. St. Michaels, MD.
