This note is to express my sincere sympathy to the family on the passing of Sandy, whom I came to know through the Eastern Star. It was a fortunate thing indeed that Nanticoke Chapter voted to unite with Caroline Chapter, because of the many enthusiastic, talented ladies who came into Caroline Chapter through that event, among whom Sandy was a leader and star. She was always willing to help, in any effort whatsoever, and was one of those rare people who can serve, contribute, help, and lead, without demonstrating an overblown ego. Whatever she did, was with a spirit of humility, grace, and a sense of humor. She loved her family, her church, and the Eastern Star. It was my privilege to serve as Worthy Patron with her during her year in the East. I appreciated her great efforts and spirit, and dedication. We will all be poorer without her. For her family there is loss and grief, but tempered by the knowledge that she is now beyond all pain and suffering, in a far better place. There is also the confidence that all that could be done for her was done, and finally the assurance that there is a coming day when we will all be together once more, in the mansions Jesus promised those who trust in him. See you in the morning, Sandy.##imported-begin##Christian E. Jensen MD##imported-end##
