Sandra J. "Sandy" Lorenz's Obituary
Sandra J. “Sandy” Lorenz of Preston, passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2008 surrounded by her family. She was 67.
She was born Aug. 9, 1940 in Germantown/Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Claire Losse Rose of Easton, MD and the late John Rose.
She was a graduate of Germantown High School. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston where she served as president of the Altar Guild, sang in the choir and was known as “Choir Mom”, taught Sunday School and was a member of WINGS. She was also a member of the O.E.S. Caroline Chapter where she was past Worthy Matron and had served in other positions. She enjoyed scrapbooking, needlepoint, knitting, cross-stitch, and lovingly cared for and helped to raise her beloved grandchildren.
Besides her mother, Claire Rose, she is survived by her husband of over 46 years, Robert H. Lorenz, two daughters, Susan L. Frazier and her husband, Elliott, and Christina L. Nagel and her husband Milton all of Federalsburg, four grandchildren, Lauren N. Frazier, Austin W. Frazier, Joshua T. Nagel and Lucas L. Nagel, all of Federalsburg, two brothers, Ronald K. Rose of Adrian, MI, and Robert B. Rose of Milford, NJ.
Funeral services will be held on Sat. May 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Preston with Rev. Edwin Thress officiating. Interment will follow in Junior Order Cemetery in Preston. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be Elliott Frazier, Milton Nagel, Glenn Merrick, Austin Frazier, J. T. Nagel and Lucas Nagel.
