Vernon Jay Schrock's Obituary
Vernon Jay Schrock of Harrington passed away on Monday, December 15, 2025 at Tidal Health at Nanticoke in Seaford, DE. He was 69.
He was born on December 12, 1956 in Farmington, DE; the son of the late Ray Schrock and Margaret Warfel Schrock.
He attended Greenwood Mennonite School and later graduated from Woodbridge High School with the class of 1975. He worked most all of his life as a brick mason. In his free time, he enjoyed writing poems, traveling and hunting. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by six siblings: Marian Schrock, Alvin Schrock (Bobbie) and Charlie Schrock all of Harrington, Robert (Ladonna) and Daniel Schrock (Christine) of Halsey OR, and Gladys Ulrich (Carl) of Greenwood. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Donald Schrock.
Funeral services will be on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 at Greenwood Mennonite Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00.
