My sincerest condolences toTodd, Scott and Ronda and their families. Your mother Gifted the residents of Federalsburg with her significant musical talents.
Asa classroom music teacher at FHS she opened our eyes to the world of music showing us how the haunting melody of a single orchestral instrument ( oboe = wolf in “Peter and the Wolf”) could tell an exciting story of danger, deception, and failed responsibility all with a few notes, no lyrics and not even any pictures.
As a choral director her exacting standards pulled the absolute best out of us, teaching us that as a group we were far better than any of us were as individuals.
She had a flair for fashion, indirectly telling us about a world of couture and design that existed far beyond our small rural town.
Her resonant soprano highlighted every holiday celebration at Union Methodist.
Federalsburg was truly blessed that Wanda found us and chose to spend her life with us.
We remember and miss her.
