My grandfather Burnley was truly a remarkable man. I chose not to speak at his funeral service because I was very emotional and because I would still be standing there telling stories about him or his advice. He is my hero. He did so many great things with his life and helped so many people. I learned from him that boys are like street cars. Miss one, catch another. I also learned that I needed to be honest and stick to my word. Another thing he always told me was not to trust a person who doesn't like animals. His theory about this has proved to be right thus far. He never let me down and supported me with all I did. He always brought me fresh fruit and vegetables while he was able with "Zack" (his loud mouth boxer) in the back of his wagon. When I'd go to the car I would see McDonald's Big Mac boxes and french fries boxes in the back with Zack. I asked one time if Zack stole his lunch. He replied No honey I just throw the whole bag in the back with the meal and he opens it and eats it but not the boxes. My pop also called me "Rachel". I have no idea why and I'm not sure he did either. I love him very much and miss him alot. He's inspired me to succeed.##imported-begin##Katie Harding##imported-end##

It is sad to here of Burnly's passing. I will remember him more as a friend then a customer. Burnly's smile was always an uplift to the day. No mater how big the problem, Burnly was never mad. He gave me all the time I needed and things got done. He will be missed. Jim Brainard FMC Service rep for many years. Now retired.##imported-begin##Jim Brainard##imported-end##

Burnley,
When I called today to thank you for your service especially on June 6, 1944, I learned you had been called home to be with the Lord. So a final hand salute from me to you, Burnley. I will see you again so until then I will only say "adieu"

Ms. Ann, Hester, Carol, Mary, and family:
We are deeply saddened by the passing of Mr. Burnley. He was a tremendous person, and wonderful friend and a true patriot. I will always treasure our common bond with the 29th Infantry Division and forever respect and honor his service to our country. He will be as valuable in Heaven as he has been here on earth.
Our prayers remain with you all and do not hesitate to call on us for any small favor we may be able to provide.
