Although we did not know Will well, Bernie and I have a very vivid memory of him. I responded to a small piece of paper on the Neavitt bulletin board which said something about mowing, call Will with a phone number. We were going away for a few weeks during the summer, so I called him and asked if he would mow our lawn while we were gone. He was only about 14 years old.
When we returned, he came over and had a notebook to show us in which he had written down every time he had mowed our lawn. I was impressed with his attention to detail and the professionalism of such a young kid. We were also impressed that his Dad came with him, didn't say a word but let him handle his own transaction. He was just there for him if he had needed any help. It definitely showed that Will had the guidance and support of his father which, in turn, likely contributed to Will having such a great work ethic.
We send our deepest condolences to the family for the tragic loss of Will. They and the Neavitt community have lost a shining spirit.
Sincerely,
Mary and Bernie Miller
