To say that Bill will not be missed by those of us in Hatteras...and at the Sea Gull Motel.....his second home.....would be absolutely impossible. He spent many a year holding up our pool fence telling stories and catering to Miss Ann. He enjoyed Hatteras so much that he even rode out a Hurricane there ......Emily... One can only thank God it wasn't Isabelle.
In any event in the 60 years our business has been in operation he was one of our all time favorites. R.I.P. Bill....then again by now i am sure Miss Ann has found something for you to do....... God Bless! Jeff, Katie and the staff at the Sea Gull Motel............

My Grandfather was one of a kind he loved his family more than anything and wasnt afraid to tell it like it was. i have many great memories with him and charrish them all he was always there when u needed him whether it be for advice a funny joke or to be towed off the beach hed drop what he was doing and lend a hand as soon as u were ready. One of my favorite childhood memories was helping him do his chores around the house in federalsburg hed start mowing the lawn and momom would get me a coffee can of water and a paint brush so i could paint the concrete stares, haha, by the time i was done hed call me over and let me help him finish mowing the grass on his old john deere then wed head to the fire dept for some slim jims and soda and a game of hand pool. He has always been someone i strive to live like and always will be. RIP Poppy
